Special Board Meeting Minutes

June 13, 2009

Members present:  Judie Sarff, Mike Campbell, Dave Mayer, Scott Rukke, Fred Durbin and John Koppang.  Manager Kevin Danby and Attorney Michael Wyman were also present.  Bill Cook was not able to attend due to personal circumstances.

Meeting called to order by Judie Sarff at 10:05 AM. 

Motion to go into Executive Session for one hour to discuss personnel matters made by Dave Mayer, seconded by Mike Campbell and unanimously passed by board.

At 11:05 AM the Executive Session ended and the regular session resumed. 

Other Business

·         Planning Committee:  Dave Mayer requested the board’s action on a property line variance asked for by Pat and Sylvia Kelly for the location of their soon to be installed manufactured home.  The variance requested is within the guidelines of the county.

Motion to accept and approve the Kelly variance made by Mike Campbell, seconded by Scott Rukke and unanimously passed by board.

Michael Wyman recommended that the board propose to the membership changes to the Rimrock rules that would more closely conform to the county rules so future variances of this kind are not required.

Kevin Danby and Pete Saflund, the Planning Committee Chairman, will prepare proposed revisions to our rules so-as-to better reflect current circumstances.

·         Communication and conflict:  Judie reported that she had received complaints that signs were down and that the open meeting in July had been canceled.  She reported that a petition was circulating requesting the July meeting be reinstated.  No action taken by the board.

Motion to adjourn made by Dave Mayer, seconded by Mike Campbell and unanimously agreed to by the board.
