July Meeting of the Rimrock Board of Directors

Present: : Bill Cook, Kevin Danby, Gene McNeil, Dave Mayer, Judie Sarff, Mike Gaul, Dale Knowlton, Dom Effray

Call to order @ 10:10 AM by our Chairman, Bill Cook.

Committee Reports:

Planning: Dave – Conducted scheduled inspection construction activity at Rimrock. Member building a cedar home. Questions about max size before a permit is required which is now 200 sq. ft. Putting up mobile homes on member lots, to be take up under new business.

ATV: - Dale – Attendance is light. There just haven’t been that many machines and riders so far this year. No complaints to date, which is a good thing.

Com & Conflict: - Judie - We have been getting a lot of minor complaints lately. Caretaker’s kids seem to lack appropriate supervision. It appears that Linda is allowing some people to bring glass into the pool area. There is a perceived lack of respect for members at times. Who is the responsible person at Rimrock when Kevin is not on site? Large family groups comprised of mostly non members) have a tendency to crowd out the regular membership. Will be an agenda item for Sept. mtg.

Activities: Dale – Nothing planned, Golf tournament request is too late to make this year’s reservation list.

Old Business: Dale – What happened to the name tags to make Rimrock staff and board more easily identifiable? Tags have been purchased and need to be picked up.

Defibrillator purchased and installed in the clubhouse. Training on use has been done. Machine has voice prompts and all that’s required is to follow the directions. It will not administer a heart reset unless it’s necessary and it will let you know that.

Discussion about annexation into the fire district, cost to members based on assessed property value. Agenda item for Sept. mtg.

New Business: Kevin – High fire danger at this time. Please no open fires of any kind and use extra caution with barbeques.

Internet access service is becoming problematic. Looking into a wireless service bounced off a member’s property that has a clear line of sight and necessary power. Cost: $1500.00 to set up and $40.00 per month.

Motion by Judie, second by Dale to put the manufactured home issue on the ballot next winter. Motion carried.

The handicap parking is sometimes used for bicycle parking defeating it’s purpose.

Look into removing the asphalt pads at the RV parking and putting down some gravel as the pads are hot and breaking up.

Manager’s Report: Kevin – Revenue is above plan. Lot sales are closed for the year.

A new pool would likely cost us at least $500,000.00 and we should have a plan for the washrooms/showers at that time. Additional costs!

Good Of The Order: Let’s all work on improving communication and shut down the rumor mill. Encourage members to contact the manager and/or the board if you have a question or concern. The use of the member issue forms is a real help to us.

Dave mentioned that there is talk of Grant County creating a Weed Board and it’s potential financial impact on all of us.
